It all started when I couldn’t find a decent backpack. So I created my own backpack with a little help. It has soon become popular and people asked me whether they can buy my bag. Therefore I have created a brand for my backpacks which is called FM85. These bags are 100% handmade, I use leather and a special canvas, which is primarily used for welding and also for other heavy duty jobs. Combining this kind of textile with leather creates a durable unity. The design is characterized by simplicity and clarity but with carefully measured proportions. Here you can see my first collection: 3 different backpacks.

Drawing the paper pattern for the bags is not the only time when fashion meets with graphic design. Creating the brand identity such as a logo and labels, websites, booklets, etc. is also a meeting point for the disciplines. The very simple minimalist design of the bags is reflected in the branding as well.
